Dr. Tammy Chen
Dr. Chen has received numerous awards for her outstanding work including the American College of Prosthodontics Award, the Panadent Teaching Award, and the David B. Kriser Award.
Dr. Chen is extremely passionate about healthcare and public health. While in dental school, she developed an outreach program that brings a team of dentists, nurses, and other health care professionals to Nicaragua to provide dental and healthcare to local communities with a focus on oral health education. She has also participated in many other outreach programs worldwide.
Dr. Tammy Chen grew up in Claremont, California. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University through an accelerated 7 year combined program. Dr. Chen graduated with honors with an extra focus in Prosthodontics, Oral Facial Pain, and special needs patients.
Dr. Chen received additional Post-Doctoral training in Prosthodontics at New York University, where she obtained extensive restorative and surgical training, including full mouth rehabilitation and implant therapy. She is a professional dedicated to excellence in prosthodontics from preventative care to restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Consistent with her natural desire to learn and pursue the highest level of dentistry while also contributing to the growth of her field, she holds a professorship at New York University, where she is a clinical faculty member in prosthodontics. Dr. Chen is also a member of the American College of Prosthodontics and the American Dental Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Chen loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys playing water polo, snowboarding, cooking and traveling.
